GO PATS!!!!!!!
Thursday, February 5th
You will write ONE blogpost today. You can decide how many paragraphs you need. One paragraph should be about one of the TOPICS listed, another paragraph or more should be about your reaction or play-by-play of the Superbowl.
Pick one topic to research and write about. Your blogpost should summarize the topic (you should use the link to help you) but research it some more. Then you should offer your take on it--is it a topic worth talking about? Why? Why not? What do you think about it? How does the media portray this topic in general? etc.
TOPIC #1
Deflategate Still an Issue? Listen and read what Sports Illustrated has to say about Edelman and Deflategate here --> Should Patriots' best receiver have even been on the field for comeback?
Domestic Violence in the NFL
Do Americans like Villains in Sports?
Topic of Your Choice from ESPN.com
Topic of Your Choice from The Sun Chronicle
TOPIC #2
The SUPERBOWL--What was your take on it? If you were a sports commentator, what would you be focusing on now? What are your thoughts as a fan?
After you write your blog, comment on five other peer blogs. Comments should be focused on the content of someone's post, not their grammar or writing errors (that's my job...). Agree with them, disagree with them, say something more than "Sounds good, I like your post."
Check yourself!
Does your blogpost...
-cite the websites you used as your research?
-offer an unbiased summary of the topic at hand?
-offer a unique and (maybe) biased opinion of the topic?
-use only your original language and ideas (unless you cite a quote or source)?
-offer a unique and original analysis?
-use catchy language?
-use some pictures or video clips??
-use interesting and unique font?
-comment on five other peers blogposts (this might have to be homework)?
Remember, you're a blogger, write something engaging and catchy! Write something you would want to read.
